WHO WE ARE:
The Bridge is a community of young adults from all over the Pittsburgh area who are aged 18-35, single, married, with kids or without. We are a community of people drawn together out of a common desire to know Jesus and to make him known. We meet every week in a relaxed comfortable setting to connect with each other and with God.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
You might think church is something for old people or little kids. That church is something that people do on Sundays and then forget about the rest of their week. That church is boring and not relevant to your life…BUT THIS ISN'T ORDINARY CHURCH. If you come check us out you will find we're a group of young adults that love God and like to have fun! At a Bridge worship gathering you will find a relaxing informal atmosphere, an opportunity to meet and get to know other people your age, good live music, and teaching from God's word that is understandable and applicable to your life. Whether you are full of doubts and questions, or looking for others your age with a Christ centered faith- this is the place for you. Come check us out. Let's go on this journey together!
WHEN AND WHERE:
The Bridge, our weekly worship gathering, meets on Sunday nights at 6pm at South Hills Assembly.
(Located at 2725 Bethel Church Rd in Bethel Park — just minutes from the South Hills Village Mall)
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
1. That you were created and designed for RELATIONSHIP (to do life together) with:
- OTHERS
We need each other. God created us to be part of community living in relationship with others. It is not healthy or fun to do life or you faith alone.
- GOD
We are created for a relationship w/ God. Without God we will always be "searching" for something to fill the void that only He can fill. Also, because of our inclination to sin, we will eventually self destruct being powerless on our own to overcome our sin problem- ruining this life and resulting in an eternity in hell. God is the only one who can fulfill our greatest needs, forgive us of all wrong doing, and enable us to overcome sin- enabling us to live life at its best- here and now, and now and forever!
2. The Bible is the Inspired Word of God:
Based on this, we believe that the Bible is true and right, supernatural, and relevant to our lives. It is the standard and guide for life and our faith. In God's Word we get to know God, ourselves and His purposes for our lives.
3. That Jesus is amazing.
As part of the trinity (God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit) Jesus is God and died as a substitute sacrifice on the cross taking our place and paying for our sins. We become followers of Christ by God's grace and love through faith In Jesus Christ- who He is and what He has done (living a sinless life, dying on the cross, and rising from the dead conquering sin, death and the devil.)
